This one-month travel-study program focuses on Chinese language, culture and history. Participants will spend two weeks studying at Peking University, one week at Huaibei Teachers College, and still one week for an extended cultural tour of Southwest China, including Three Gorges. Successful graduates from the study program at PKU (S-Term) will be awarded with a certificate and academic credits transferable to their home institutions.

Program I (S+T): June 29~July 27

Three-Week Study Program at PKU (6/19~7/12) & Huaibei Teachers College (7/13~19):

Ø 45 hours of intensive Chinese language training on campus

Ø 6~7 seminars on Chinese culture and history

Ø 6~7 cultural tours in and around Beijing, and in Huaibei-Xuzhou area.

One-Week Cultural Tour (July 20~27):

Ø Southwest China and Three Gorges Tour: This new route is selected for the participants to experience Chinese culture, nature and history. The theme of Southwest China Tour is the historical encounters with nature, featuring tours of major pilgrim sites of Sanxingdui and Three Gorges in the Yangtze River.

Ø SPKU Program finishes in Shanghai. The students depart for home from Shanghai on July 27.
